This is a hands-on Field Service Technician role focused on installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment. It is not a design or engineering position.
Job description
As a Field Service Technician at ELV Select, you will be responsible for the hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial recycling equipment at both customer sites and in-house. You will play a key role in ensuring our machines operate safely, efficiently, and reliably for our customers across North America.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain ELV Select Equipment on customer sites and on-site
- Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, etc.
- Carry out equipment installation, servicing, and commissioning
- Ability to travel to customer locations across Canada and U.S. as required
- Provide responsive, professional after-sales service support
- Stay up to date on equipment updates and service procedure from ELV Select Equipment’s suppliers
- Work collaboratively with the team to complete service jobs efficiently
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain a safety-first, professional attitude in all environments (in the office and with ELV Select Equipment’s customers)
This Role IS Best Suited For:
- Experience working directly on machinery (not designing or engineering systems)
- Background in a skilled trade such as:
- Millwright / Industrial Mechanic
- Heavy Equipment Technician
- Automotive or Truck Technician
- Industrial Electrician ( field service experience preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills in real-world repair situations
- Eager to expand knowledge
- Willingness to travel and work in varying field environments
This Role is NOT Suitable For:
- A mechanical or design engineering position
- A CAD, drafting, or R&D role
- An office-based technical analysis position
Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in equipment repair, industrial maintenance, or skilled traded background.
