It has been a minute since we have added an update of our shear baler rebuild project, so here is an update:
Last time we posted about the squeezebox, we were in the middle of opening up the wings. We then had to take the wings off. From there the hinge pins were to be taken out and replaced.
The removal of the hinge pins turned out to be a much bigger job than anticipated. The pins needed to be cut into pieces and pushed out with a press, while some of the hinges required the entire inner pin and outer knuckles to be removed.
After much hard work, the rod was cut, pieces worked out, knuckles replaced and the first wing was back in place.
